ABOUT ME

In my world, planes are birds, and flowers bloom even amidst the concrete of a city sidewalk. They say each person wishes to be either a tree or a bird; I yearned for wings instead of arms since the day I wanted to run, yet my legs couldn’t carry me where I desired.

There’s something about the freedom—the way a wave breaks when it touches the sand, the way a child spins in circles, oblivious to the constraints of space and time, the way laughter dances across a crowded room, transcending barriers of language and culture, or the way I chased butterflies in the summer of 2013, only to realize their journey wasn’t mine to keep. There’s something about the way I felt when I first came into this city; I've been more bird than human since I arrived.

From curiosity to obsession, my lens is my voice, expressing the depth of human emotion and the beauty of our shared experience. My photography delves into human connections, nostalgia, and the art of capturing fleeting moments. Influenced by the likes of Duane Michals, Jim Goldberg, Cartier Bresson, and Graciela Iturbide, and fueled by life's contrasts—loss, love, and diverse experiences—each image a mirror to my soul.

From childhood curiosity to a lifelong pursuit, I navigate the depths of human emotion through my lens, immortalizing fragments into the ever-changing tapestry of existence."
